That’s my takeaways from guest Speakers’ speeches
First of all, I believe guest speakers are always very interesting and very helpful for students. It is always helpful to listen some information from people who work for a long time in businesses. I learned a lot from guest speakers on Thursday.
One of the key words that Mike Reed said is to always ask questions, you would never know the answer if you didnt ask. During the speech, Mike Reed told us, that in order to reach something you want you need to ask for it. In addition, he provided a great example from his life. Mike Reed said that many times in his career he got great deals, just because he ask for them, even when he was ready to pay a higher price.
Another important note I took from Mike Reed’s speech is that he advices to not take Master’s degree right after university and to find job first. I want to get a Master’s degree and before, I wanted to get it right after graduation, but Mike Reed says that there is a big possibility that if you find a job after your graduation from college, the business you work in, will pay for your Master’s degree. It is important because you can always get your Master’s degree later in your life, so you can try to get it for free.
During the speech Mike Reed said, that you always need to be ready for changes. If you got hired by the business, find the best position for yourself. If you dont like your boss, change your job. I believe, it is very important because a lot of people dont like their jobs and do their work just for money. Mike Reed inspires us to be ready for changes, so you dont become one of those people.
